Working with us

We are early, so we work closely with each team. Here is what happens, in order.

1. Talk

A call of about 30 minutes. We ask how you monitor today and what your team spends its time on. You ask us anything, including the uncomfortable questions.

2. Agree the terms

Before any data moves, we agree a short evaluation agreement and a data processing agreement. We give you the exact list of read-only permissions we need.

We do not start with a customer until the Cyber Security Authority has confirmed our licence position in writing.

3. A six-week shadow evaluation

Hydra reads your alerts and writes down what it would conclude. It changes nothing. Your analysts work as normal.

4. Compare

Every week we show you where Hydra and your analysts agreed and where they did not, and why. At the end you get a written report.

5. You decide

If it is useful, we agree terms to continue. Running Hydra as a service for you starts once we hold our licence. If it is not useful, we delete your data within 30 days, and from our backups within 90 days, and confirm in writing.

What it costs

The evaluation is free for our first evaluation partners. After that, the plan is one annual subscription set by your institution's Bank of Ghana tier. It would cover the software, the service we run for you once we are licensed, and the reports the regulator asks for. We have not published a price list because nobody has paid us yet, and we will test the prices in the first evaluations. We quote in writing.

Questions

Where does my data go?

To Hydra, which we host on Google Cloud in Iowa, in the United States. When model processing is enabled, alert text is read by an open model that we operate in our Google Cloud environment. We do not use Vertex AI and we do not train models on your data. Our Security page lists every provider that handles it.

What access do you need?

Read-only access to the tools you connect. We send you the list of permissions before you set anything up. Hydra reads alert details. It does not read file contents, email contents, passwords or payment card data, and we ask you not to send those.

Does Hydra change anything in our systems?

No. Hydra is advice-only today. A person carries out any action it recommends, in your own tools.

Can we run it on our own servers?

Not yet. We host it today.

Do you run our security monitoring?

Not today. In an evaluation your analysts stay in charge and Hydra is a tool for them. The plan is for us to run it for you under our own licence, with Hydra doing the first look and our analysts handling the alerts that need a person. That starts only once we hold the licence.

How long does an evaluation take to set up?

We will tell you once we have scoped your tools. We would rather give you a real number than guess before we have a customer.
